Help with zip stuff

Hi all.

I need help with zip files.
I can use various zip programs easily. I am trying to get my dad to use
one but he can't seem to use one on his pc.
I need a URL for a zip program that is FREE, no trials or loading other program garbage.
It should be easy to follow and load too.

I have tried heaps myself and I am stumped which is why I am asking for your help.. Thanks in advance.

  • I use 7zip mostly: Download.
    Just choose OS your dad has.
  • That one works well for me and is one I use so I will tell him about it and hopefully it will work for him. Thanks for the tip.

    • If he's using Windows, it's already included; no software needed:
      right-click > Extract All
      right-click > Send to > Compressed folder

    • Right click on a zip file to start the unzip. Right click on any file (but typically a folder) to start the zip.
  • I will ask him what he has when he does that. I have zip programs so my view is tainted. Thanks.
