How to upload files with wordpress with "protection"?

Let's say i have a hostgator account and a site on wordpress platform. I want to upload some files that only with a direct link that file could be accessible. I don't want those links to get indexed in google or that it could be accessible somehow in a different way without having a direct link to it.

Any good ideas on this?

Create a folder on server and upload files as .html extension and use noindex meta tag on that html files .

    Its simple and working .

Now would be a question how to do this?

Also, like this these files won't be indexed in search engines, but how about if someone could access these files by scanning your site with some tool to find all files, etc?

The easiest way would be to password protect the file.

For many files, you can use the same one or have a different one for each.

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.
