What kind of hosting to you have?
    - If shared, your options are limited.
    - If VPS or dedicated, there are some pretty interesting options out there.

There are many ways to stop boy traffic, but it is not easy there are various coding for boats. Some boats are bad, they scrap contents from sight and then republish them. To prevent these pernicious bots, you can use some tools like Deep Log Analyzer or AWStats to read IP. Then, if once you get an IP enlist a firewall service and block as much as IP you want.

If you're running Apache, these are the .htaccess rules for hitleap:

    Code:
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} hitleap.com [NC]
    RewriteRule .* - [F]

You're not thinking like a marketer. You need to find out what the bots want and sell it to them.

I can think of a few things right off the top of my head that the bots might be interested in:
    • RAM
    • Bandwidth
    • Databases
    • eBooks about how to do bot stuff better
    • VPN services

Remember to think like a marketer.

While I find this approach intriguing, I fail to see, yet, how that would be accomplished.
