PHP email autoresponder not working - 5,000 email list stuck - will pay for solution!

Hello!

Please go easy on me here.... I did a bad thing haha.

A long time ago I didn't want to pay for a month to month autoresponder such as Aweber so I settled for something that in hindsight was a big mistake...

It was called ProfitSponder and is a PHP auto responder script that sits on my server. It worked great for quite some time but now I have an issue... It no longer works, and I have a list of 5,000 highly targeted email clients on there for my niche of which I am about to release a new product.

Everything works fine and it says messages send but nothing is ever received on the other end.

If anyone has any idea of how to get it back up and running I would be happy to pay for your time, so let me know.

Unfortunately the list itself is very neglected because of this issue, so I want to get in contact and start warming them up with great content before I ask them to move over to my Amember account.

Cheers,

Charlie.

Something similar was happening to me with another script. It looked like the emails were sent, but nothing was received.
It was the SMTP server. It was updated and wouldn't accept the connection from the script anymore. I had to change to a different option of sending the mail from the program.
I don't know your script, but check how it is sending the mail and try different options.

Charlie, I've taken a look at the help page, the script doesn't use SMTP at all but uses PHP mail() to do it's job. Now since this is a simple/small script I really don't think they have queue system implemented on it which will send the emails in a batch, but tries to send them all together and get gets blocked by the restrictions set by the hosting company on the server as a spam fighting measure.

I can check further if you want me to, feel free to send me a PM.

Cheers for checking it out Ekushey, I posted the issue up on freelance and got a few very quick responses so I have someone working on it now.

I made a test list of just my email and that didn't go out either so it does seem like an odd issue.

You know what. I do have the script.

In the folder called controls is a file named smtp.php.
In there is a section for the smtp parameters.
Try adding your email address for the site and password under "user" and "pass" and set "auth" to "TRUE"
