Clickbank hop link help

I was wondering if someone knows how to allow affiliates to send visitors to different pages on my website.

I know this is doable, but I don't know how exactly.

The standard link looks like: http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net/

This will redirect to 1 specific destination on my site (landing page). However, some vendors allow affiliates to add something to the end of the link which will make the visitor end up on another landing page.

Here's an example (not mine): Affiliate Tools | Guilt Free DessertsGuilt Free Desserts

They have 2 links for affiliates to choose from that end up on different landing pages.

A: Fat-Burning Desserts -Guilt Free Desserts
(affiliate link has ?rd=brownies at the end)

B: Fat-Burning Desserts -Guilt Free Desserts
(affiliate link has ?rd=original at the end)

I was wondering how I can set this up so that I as a vendor can allow affiliates to send traffic to 2 different pages on my site.

Is this some .htaccess thing that recognizes a certain string added to the end of the URL and redirects it to another page?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm really not very technically inclined.

  • Easy. You just set up a redirect file, and use that as your hoplink.

I have created the file for you and put it in a .zip file, and attached it to this post.

1 - Upload the file to your domain.

2 - Set your clickbank hoplink to point to this new file.

You will have to edit the PHP file to set your landing pages.

Change the domains in the file as needed.

Notice there is a default landing page value, then also x=1 and x=2 values.... Set the default landing page to whereever you want your normal hoplink to go, and set the landing pages for the x=?? values to your specific landing pages.

If you had, Google in the x=1 line in the hop file, your hoplink to send people to that landing page would be,

http://yourcbid.hop.clickbank.net?x=1 This URL would redirect to Google.com

If you had, www.yahoo.com in the x=2 line, your hoplink for that landing page would be,

    http://yourcbid.hop.clickbank.net?x=2

Add additional lines to the file as needed, x=3, x=4, etc etc. You could even change x to some other value, just replace x in your hoplink as well.

I'm sharing this because I had the same problem when I started on Clickbank many years ago. I hope it helps you folks
  • Sorry I just updated the file, had a couple missing ' marks. That file I uploaded will do exactly what you need.
