$50 Link

The Story of The Big One

Once upon a time there was a young man who was very, very good at what he does. For years he had been tediously chasing the big one as if his life depended on it. Then, one sunny day as he sat in a daze picking his nose, the big one jumped up out of no where, smacked him right in his face, and ran off with a quickness. With his mind racing and his heart pounding, the young man began working on a new project that he knew was going to be big. With a lightning fast speed he drafted what would soon become his prized possession. As he reached near completion of the new project, a small $50 became the only thing standing in his way. Within minutes the young man began to brainstorm a quick way to come up with the money to complete his project. After some careful thought, small doubts, and a smile on his face he decided to make an offer that no one could refuse. A day later he presented his offer to a room full of wonderful businessmen and women who were all very eager to get their hands on a good deal.

He approached them with a confident grin, knowing this was the big moment.

He said:

Ladies and gentlemen, I come here today to present to you all an offer you can't refuse so that I may complete my quest. I've just finished a new project and am days away from launching it to the world. All that I need now is $50 to pay for a small tweak in the product. The site I'm giving away my new product on is expected to receive thousands upon thousands of visitors each month. Below is an image of traffic stats from a 40 day advertising campaign from a previous project of mine.

This is what the traffic numbers will look like for the first couple months. They are expected to increase very rapidly with every day that passes.

This is not an internet marketing product or a product related to making money online. It's an original software product that is good for business, in demand, in a huge market, and most importantly it's being released free to the public. No cost.

Realistic Numbers

Below are estimated realistic numbers within 12 months.

Downloads: 100,000+ (273 per day on average meaning some days only 20 downloads, some days over 500 downloads.)

Unique Visitors: 1-2 million

Profit: Hard to estimate. 5 figures. Over $30,000

Money Spent: Under $1,000. Most of it towards upgrades.

The simplicity of the application prevents bugs, errors, and crashes while also enabling it to run smoothly on everything after windows 98. No compatibility problems or missing files, easy installation, low on resources, light weight, very small file size, 1 executable, and fast. The application doesn't connect to the internet either, making it secure and safe with no need for security patches or updates. No exploitation. I'll add that the actual coding is written to prevent one from using a decompiler to decompile the program and redistribute it, along with some other techniques.

(I programmed this myself.)

Traffic

Revealed after purchase. I would rather not discuss it here in the open.

The site and the new product will be launched and released within days of paying the $50 to cover a small expense on the coding side; it isn't something I can do myself.

I will give advertising on the site for 6 months at the price of $50 to one person, or the price of $25 for two people.

Immediately questions came from everyone wanting to know what the program is, what it does, how it works, what are the features, who it targets, what market, details on performance, what it's being coded in, what's the website look like, how are you promoting, how are you advertising, who exactly are you advertising to, and many many others. Though the young man wanted to answer these questions, he knew he couldn't. It was against every rule and bad business to tell a room full of other coders and programmers, entrepreneurs, and professional business men what your secret weapon is before you've pulled the trigger and just days before public launch. So, he told them he was unable to release any information that will jeopardize the project or create conflicts with the success rate at this time.

They all understood as it was part of the business and common practice.

He then went on, telling them

Immediately after payment is received you will be given:

> Detailed, but limited information on the product.
> Traffic methods
> Details on the Advertising & promotion campaign.

Then, 48 hours later you'll be given screen shots of the actual application. 48-72 hours after that you'll be able to download the program from the official website with your link on it.

Link details

Your link(s) will be placed appropriately on the site where they are visible and getting clicks.

> You can use or sell your link space(s).
> You can change your link(s) no more than twice per month.
> On the 6th and last month your link(s) will be pumped all throughout the site.

So then the young bright man closed the offer with a smile and awaited for the first person or first two people to snatch the deal up.

1 person - $50
2 people - $25 each

First one(s) to post "I want it."

Re: $50 Link

If you don't get at least 2000 visits in the first 90 days I'll give you the domain, the source code to the whole program, full rights, and everything with it!

This is one of the best opportunities ever made on this forum, I assure you.

I will take a shot for $25. Hopefully it will be worth it but if not I am sure it is not the first $25 I spent that did not and probably will not but the last.

Re: $50 Link

I want to add that if something goes wrong I will come back here and write a huge apology letter, get these guys their money back, hand over every little trick and trade I got, and give them something of equal value until they're fully satisfied and not feeling like they've lost something.

ADDED: Please do not share the screenshots of the product with anyone until after release. It will only be a few days to wait and then you can show whoever you want. This is private business. I'm placing trust in you guys :)

Re: $50 Link

!!!!

I should of known this wouldn't go as smooth as I thought. There are problems with the coding so it's going to be another 2 to 3 days before it's finished. I had to go with an expert grade coder that would take time out of his schedule to do a small job. I had several offers+replies and have now selected the one to work on my project.

Waiting for him to begin as I write this.

Re: $50 Link

I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW LONG THIS IS TAKING. FREAKIN' PROGRAMMERS FROM INDIA! (NO BIAS)

They're trying to overcharge me too it's like they don't understand the simplicity of what I'm trying to accomplish. THERE IS A SPECIFIC API FUNCTION THAT IS INTENDED FOR WHAT I'M TRYING TO DO!! OBVIOUSLY THAT MEANS IT IS POSSIBLE TO DO SINCE THERE IS AN API FUNCTION TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT I'M TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH!

And why the HECK would ANYONE bid $400 on a project that CLEARLY STATES THE PRICE??????????

"There is much research needed for this" after I JUST TOLD THEM EXACTLY WHAT FUNCTIONS THEY NEED TO USE!!! If you don't know how to use API then YOU'RE NOT AN EXPERT CODER!

**RANTS**

I think a lot of these programmers just bid on projects that they can find source code for online and then they take the source code, change it around, claim it as their own, and give it to the buyer. And I think that since they can't find any full source code for this anywhere on the internet they don't know how to program it themselves, so they claim "This is be project of very difficulty us for to this accomplishments"....WHAT?????????

I am sorry guys it shouldn't take much longer. I'm speaking with several diff coders and have invited a bunch of US CODERS to the project since they understand English better.

Re: $50 Link

That didn't go very well. Paid coder but code didn't work. Won't give refund because it works on his system. Won't work on my system or many others though. Blah.

Here is what I do have to give back to the 2 buyers since the money is gone.

$75 GoogleAdwords Credit

$50 Facebook Credit

$60 Myspace Ads credit

Advertisement on a different project that hasn't went public yet.

l23bc was first buyer so I'll give him first choice. You can pick 2 of those credits and i'll PM you with the codes for them. The remaining credit will go to 2nd buyer.

Then, both buyers will get linked on a diff site that hasn't went public yet. I'm also thinking of what else I can give these two to compensate for the $25 they spent.

Sorry guys don't know what to say. I'm still working on it but I'm going to wait until I can do it the right way.
