Need Text Link Service Advice

A was recently approached by textlinkservices.com about one of my IM blogs. They are inquiring about putting an in-content ad link on the site.

They are interested in a fixed annual fee for the advertisement or pay a fee for a permanent link.

Traditionally, I have made most of my online money through CPA, Affiliate Sales and Domaining. I have not sold text link space.

A few specs on the domain they are interested in:
PR 4, age 2003, thousands of indexed pages and incoming links
The specific page they want to advertise on has a subject of link building methods, tips and tricks.

They want me to give them a rate.

Can anyone give some pointers on how to price the rate?

Your Advice is Much appreciated!

Re: Need Text Link Service Advice

As I think price depends on sites quality, like :

High Page Rank
Good number of back links on Google /Yahoo /Bing
Regular cache from Google /Yahoo /Bing
Different-different C class ip's where sites should hosted
Sites unique traffic and depends also source of traffic
And so on.....

Permanent links, links for 12/6/3/1 months increased the prices in asending order.

In short it's all about the quality of site and please note that links should be very strong and do follow also which will help to increase your client's sites daily traffic and hits and also helps to increase PR of their sites.

Anyone interested for correct me if I am not fully right ?
Suggestions welcome.

Thanks,
Nathaniel Pelton.:)

Re: Need Text Link Service Advice

One thing the previous poster forgot to mention is the location on your page. In the top fold is always worth 3X anywhere else on the page.
Prices
The least page I have I charge $125 per year
My top page I ask $10,000 for, annually.
Pay is in advance or I'm not interested.

How to fix your prices

Think of how much your advertising is bringing in for that page and work from that. For example: I have one page that pulls in $37,000 per year. BUT, I have to wait all year for that money. You pay 80% of that in advance and I'll consider it. I'll review your ad and if I don't want it on my page, phooie on Hughie.

You also want to consider their dynamics.. For example, they don't want you to place an ad for the same offer in a position on your page that is higher than theirs. Maybe they don't want you to have ANY advertising on the page. The more demands they make the more money you want to charge..

Now for the bad news..
This service you mention sends this offer out by the thousands. You get all excited and dredge up a price that makes sugar plums dance in your head,, only to find out that money isn't up front and it all depends on you making money for them first.

The schedule is right, but when I tried them out, they didn't have any advertisers for my brand of visitors. Wasted time. It was worse than trying to work with CJ.
