I'm not so interested in reciprocal links between websites or blogs but I am looking for reciprocal social bookmarking friends. Join my Digg / frederickwebpro as a friend and I'll join yours. Join my FrederickWebPro's favorite web sites - StumbleUpon as a friend and I'll join yours. I also need flickr users as contacts... I really need a testimonial on Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing PM me or just reply to this post. I'm worried about a rumored google slap of seemingly worthless looking social bookmarking sites, if your social bookmarking is only about you promoting your stuff ... and not about your contributing to the community (the social bookmarking community) then you look like a spammer (and might get your inbound links devalued in Googles eyes) I saw a post on reddit.com where some guy said this: If the only comments on a users postings are his own... he might be a spammer If the only diggs on his digg.com site are what he's pushing... he might be a spammer it went on from there but you get my drift Thanks |

Thanks SkyGodMega What is your Digg user name? Do you have any Digg submissions of your own for me to Digg? I'm working on a tag line: I Digg those that Digg me not sure if I did the BB code correctly Apparently we're supposed to keep a ratio of stuff we want Dugg to roughly half of what we digg of others. We're supposed to do it like this: when someone stops by to check our Digg Profile, we'd better have twice as many other people's stuff we dugg as we have stuff of our own that we WANT other people to Digg Merry Christmas Warriors! and Happy New Year if I don't hear from you till then |

Blog Entries: 11 | Google Defines Good Linking & Bad Linking with this in mind it'd be a good idea for only people with like minded sites Digg Together. My Digg theme is "how to be a local portal site" therefore I should probably repost this thread in http://localbizbuilders.com people joining my Digg Army whose primary theme is NOT about being a local portal aren't likley to get much out of us Digging each others stuff. If it's a generic "I like u sight" type Digg friendship niether one of us in gonna get anything out of it. am searching for the article someone on Digg sent me that gave me this idea in the first place will post it when I find it |

Blog Entries: 11 | Digg Blog: Digg Friends we read a couple blog posts that highlight users digging each others stories. This is something we encourage through our friends features and will continue to expand as digg evolves. It is our goal to create a platform in which you can share and promote news that is important to you.this isn't the article I was thinking of but it works: it's from Digg themselves so this is what I had in mind if you're not in the local portal business it's probably not gonna do you much good to "Digg me and I'll Digg you" This article looks close to what I originally found that gave me the idea to start this thread: So You’ve Decided to Spam Digg: Eight Signs You Haven’t Really Thought Things Through | Design & All Things Web 2. Your Account Has the Same Number of Diggs as it Does Submissions:"I like u sight" speaks for itself |

gottcha will look up where else I see you in social networking we should double check to make sure we're both promoting similar stuff I'm promoting two themes: 1) how to be a local google guru 2) Frederick Maryland's authority site/ I bestow Google in my area no one gets to the father except through me (slight exaggeration but .... it's lookin that way more and more) I'm gonna OWN google in my area. I do have competitors that are 'better than me' in Maryland but you gotta go all the way to Annapolis and they start at $5000 so... I'm it in most small business people's eyes Damn I'm glad I'm a Warrior!!!! |

Rather than having people add you as a friend on Digg, set up an email list such as in Google Groups and put together a group of people that agree that they'll Digg each other's submissions. Why do it this way? Because a vote from a friend on Digg has very little power. The Digg algorithm wants to see a wide range of unrelated people that vote for a post. A group of friends can't push something very far. You need to have some friends on Digg so that your account looks real, and you should be voting their submissions and vice versa, but the real power comes from "offsite friends." The absolute worst thing you can do is shout your own submission on Digg. The votes you get from shouts are almost worthless. I've heard rumors that shouting your own submission actually triggers something in the algorithm to increase the support requires for a front page. Don't Digg every submission by everyone, you'll want to have about a 50% rate. Otherwise, the voting ring is easy to spot and will be discounted, or worse yet the users will get banned. Google [Digg Voting Rings] and you'll find my article that shows that math on why a 50% rate can't be spotted. You probably don't want to publish your Digg/Stumble exchanges in a public forum -- if the Digg admins ever decide to track you down it's all there for them to see! |

Likewise, a small number of votes from profiles without much power (such as you're likely to get if you limit your exposure to a small group around a single theme) can actually signal the dreaded Google Slap.

Wow... thanks I didn't know all that, great stuff will set it up as described Here's what I did do so far: I can't possibly keep track of all the digg trades, well I can but I discovered that some diggers are farther along than others. One guy dugg one of mine and he didn't have any ammo pre loaded for me to reciprocate (so I got an unintended free digg) couple other diggers bury me in shouts, so I had my top 3 and he sent me a dozen a day ... I ran a help wanted ad to hire an intern to manage all of this My job is to write content, the interns job is to keep track of this other stuff. I was amazed at how many people responded to the help wanted request. even thought of re wording the help wanted ad to discourage tire kickers, if someone jumps through hoops and still wants the job... Thanks ltdraper!!
