PageRank O advice needed

I set-up a Wordpress blog as a website for a client of mine about 1 year ago in Johannesburg and now they want me to help them with marketing. Initially I just did a basic design using a free theme and some basic information and really see them as hosting client. The website is a florist and this is a very competitive market from what I can tell on Google, even in South Africa.

Anyway this website is PageRank 0 and I've not been reading up on SEO for a while. Please can you offer me some suggestion on how to get this up to PG 3 asap?

Great content and Inbound links is what will help your pagerank. Link popularity is a key to high pagerank

Get a Strong PR 4 backlink.. You will get PR 3 in next update..

My site is a PageRank 3 after 4 months. Try to get your link popularity up to 1001 and have good content. You should jump to a Pagerank 3

Try also submitting your site to high PR SEO friendly directories, but avoid link farming coz Google will surely penalize you.

Another is social bookmarking, make sure it is a Do-Follow.

Getting relevent backlinks from sites in your niche is important. A travel site with a link from another site in the travel industry holds more value than one from, say, money making sites.
