I have a packet of 97 PR 4-8 redirects on the exit pages of GOV/EDU sites, like Energy Gov PR 8 Weather Gov PR8 and so on. So you get an idea of some of the sites I have.

Edu and Gov sites hold a special trust with search engines so to have your site on them will build value, credibility and trust in the eyes of Google.

As all backlinks need to be indexed, once these sites are indexed or pinged they will pass a lot of link juice to your site.
