Possibly the best e-mail I've ever received.

  • What? They didn't include a payment method?

    • Apparently not. I just e-mailed back offering him a free consultation, and offered to help him find the best product for him! Seems like a nice chap...
  • I was just reading somewhere else about this starting. Freaking dirtballs.

    • It's OK. I did some digging. Here's my response:

    • Well it just goes towards enforcing the idea around PBN would be makers. If a Kenyan blackmailer can see your PBN for what it is. How well did you hide it again?

  • Do you really think that was their real IP and not a VPN or proxy they were using? I'll be interested if you get a response though.

    • Certainly sounded like a Kenyan, based on the extortion and his use of the English language. I'll take a punt anyway and see what it brings.

Why bother replying to spam email?

All your doing is telling them they have a bite, which means it's an active email, which means more spam... forever...
  • These scammers are getting more and more advanced. Just got an automated call recently from "Chase" asking to verify my SSN and punch it into their system. I wonder how many poor saps fall for this kind of thing.
  • Looks like a mass spam tactic. Scrape every email from every website out there, send this message, and you're bound to have plenty of them using PBN's. The fact they didn't (couldn't) call out any one of your PBN sites specifically just shows the generality of the email.

p.s. I have just inherited $10,000,000 dollars but becuse of Nigerian law I need someone in America to help me put it in your bank. You can keep 1/2.. any takers? Just send me your bank routing number

    • My sister in law - Bless her soul. Calls me one day.

Sister:Kevin, can you help me with a western union transfer.
Kevin: Sure, why WU. Where do you need to send it to?
Sister: The FBI. The FBI want $140 to unlock the computer. They've locked my computer for watching CP, I also need to report my husband to the police.
Kevin: Ok where do we start. In the beginning there was a big BANG..

      True story.

  • This sort of crap has got to stop, shocking what some people will do. I have a feeling though most don't pay this guy a dime. Almost like the link directories extortionists that build BS links on their networks and charge for removal from each.
