Let's say I want to add new content to my website. I chose a Main keyword for my new article, such as Acne Scars. How many LSI/long tail keywords should I use along with my Main Keyword for me to create my new article?
#content #keywords #lsi or long #tail

Not sure if there is a set number to use..

Just write the article for humans to read and place how ever many LSI keywords in there that look natural. Do not stuff a bunch of them in there. It needs to flow and read well.

I usually try to find 5-8 tightly related phrases and sprinkle them throughout the article.

Using each phrase just one time should be enough...

  • There isn't a set in stone amount of keywords to use in a content body. Through trial and error you can figure out what works best for you.

It just needs to look natural. Add as many keyword phrases as you like, just make sure that it is still easy to read. Google is always on the lookout for keyword stuffing

This depends on the purpose of the content and it's placement/priority in your site's navigation/linking structure.

But even in my smallest, focused articles there are 5 or 10 LSI terms purposely woven in.

Personally I use 1-2 total links interlinking each page but between all pages have most pointing to main site. I outranked competitors pretty much right away structuring entire site that way.

I plan on creating a 1500 word article with 5 LSI/long tail keywords following my main keyword. Would this be enough?

This has nothing to do with keyword density. Once or twice with my Main Keyword is more than enough. LSI/long tail keywords should be used only once. I understand that completely. Just to be clear with everyone.

LSI/Long tail keywords should be limited to 3-4 phrases in the content. More than that would help in making of keyword stuffing which is really bad and Google penalizes the website for the same...
