Backlink Research Tool

Hello everyone

I was wondering if anyone could help me in finding a cheap link research tool. I'm aware of ahrefs and I used it around a year ago, but the monthly fees just don't represent value for money for me.

I will only be doing around 10 searches a month at the most, so it doesn't make any sense for me to be paying large monthly fees. If anyone could help me with this I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

  • I would suggest you to try CognitiveSEO. Pricing starts from $99/month; 14 days free trial is also available. We used this tool along with Moz; personally I find CognitiveSEO an inch better than Moz in some cases.

    • While I appreciate the answer, I specifically said that I want a cheap service because I will only be doing around 10 searches a month. $99 a month would mean $9.90 a search and I think we can both agree that's a tad expensive

    • CognitiveSEO is crap, and did you even read his post? He was complaining about the monthly fee for Ahrefs, which is CHEAPER than cognitive. How does this help him?

    • Majestic provides great value for a tool.

  • Majestic SEO, Ranksignals are the best tools ever I have come across. Worth using it to look out for the backlinks of competitors.
  • You will be able to get a fairly good idea of the links coming into a page or domain by using Backlink miner, Use the following search at Google

    backlink miner discount

and you will find a link to get it for $67 one time. You will need a free Moz api key because it pulls links from moz, seokicks and a few other free services. You will not get every link coming but for a free Api tool it gives surprisingly good coverage. In addition you can load links you get from other sources provided they are in some kind of CSV file.

Its my and quite a few other regulars here go to tool for checking backlinks
  • you might want to try Majestic SEO, it's one of the best.
  • With Backlink Miner do you have to have a subscription to the other services? Like Ahrefs?

You think it is still safe to buy? Is their page back up?

I just tried these guys out . It has Ahref/Whitespark/SEM Rush all together for like $39/Month Not the full blown versions but maybe enough for you. I think they have a 3 days trial.Look up SEO Compass
  • So far, Majestic SEO works very well for me.

    Hi ,
    I am using ahrefs.com, semrush.com and linkdetective .
These are the best option to find the backlink.
  • I am using Raven tools. It is quite awesome. Free for 1 month. Try this, really cool
  • Webmasters ? Google, Backlinks Checker Tool - Backlink Watch is the best website for testing the back-links of websites. these both the website have the best features for SEO back-links checking.
  • Yes, backlinkwatch.com is nice free tool. However, majestic, ahref are good but expensive paid tools.
  • en.seokicks.de might be interesting for you as well since it's rather cheap and you can see a lot of data even for free.

    • Between you and Moz free account theres a pretty good coverage. You guys need to do better marketing because I was not even aware you had a paid service. All I see is the API service and a lot of people don't program or have the time to program a REST application. I'd sign up with you guys in a heartbeat if you had an online application since your free service IS interesting..
  • Thanks for your feedback! You're right, we've to do a lot more marketing indeed. At the moment we're working very hard to improve our crawlers, therefore the SEOkicks backlink database will grow a lot within the next few weeks. Spending more time/money on marketing will be the next step!
