For traffic? Sure. One Yahoo Answers page got one of my sites a consistent 500 - 1,000 visitors per day about 2-years ago. It was around a celebrity s*x tape. All I did was find a Google Answers question ranking on Page 1, add an answer with a link to my site and generated $400/day for 2-3 weeks until the moderators removed the link.

Use Yahoo Answers as a parasite page to drive traffic.

In terms of traffic, yes you get targetted traffic. In terms of SEO - just 1%. Not that much in eyes of google.

Yeah, for traffic, but not for link juice. The backlinks are most likely nofollow, so you won't receive any ranking benefit from them. It's hard to get a do-follow link from a high authority site unless it's a site that accepts articles.

Yes, That's great. But yahoo answers able to give you quality targeted traffic to your site or product as if it has low value as backlinks.

The BL from Yahoo answer is No follow, so it doesnot have much value or pass any link juice to your website. But it can bring much traffic from direct the person asked, the users who have the same question and from organic traffic search. YA can rank easily!

Yahoo Answers is a great way to get a lot of traffic.

Yahoo answers has no-follow links so it doesn't pass any link juice to your website but it can definitely bring huge traffic to your site.

As an eye of traffic yahoo answer always play crucial role. last year one of my site got thousand of visitors from yahoo until moderator removes the links. not sure about the ranking but gets the traffic from yahoo..

Even if you don't count the value of link you get from yahoo answers (as its nofollow), still you can get loads of referral traffic from yahoo answers.

One good thing about traffic from yahoo answers is that, traffic is very targeted, so it converts well.

I think Yes, you get both value(no follow link from a authority site has some value) and traffic. But it is not easy to get links on Yahoo answers because many accounts get banned by yahoo while try to post answers with a view to create a link. Yahoo approves link only if they think the answer is not made on purpose.

A link is not traffic. Traffic is not a link. Just because you can use one to get the other, there's no reason to mix them up.

Nice question. Basically, Yahoo answers are nofollow, so there is no link juice to your website, but yeah, they provide direct traffic to your website as well.

Why we use backlink, It justifies if you are not satisfied with the description which has written. You can visit to desire page for more details and maybe you would the result that you seeking for. And yahoo has the huge database of its visitors if you post your website link over it, of-course you would get the benefit from that post.
