Is My Ezine Article Really On A PR6 Webpage?

Hi Warriors,

I submitted an article which was published on Ezine Articles in August 2014. From day 1 till date, whenever i access the article and check the PR of the webpage the article is on, it has always been PR6.

==> Top Home Based Businesses

I expect a new article with no backlinking done to it to be on an orphan PR0 web page but i am confused by the present scenario.

Can someone please clarify the situation for me?

Many thanks.

  • ezinearticles . com is PR6

Your page is PR N/A meaning other than being indexed in G it has absolutely no value whatsoever in SEO metrics.

I will add that there hasn't been a page rank update in close to a year now so it might be changed by now however I doubt it. Those article directory sites have lost a LOT of value in SEO.

    • You need to visit the webpage my article is on and view the PR of the web page, to understand what i am saying. I have provided a link to the web page above.

  • Some toolbar PR checkers will show the home pages PR, not the webpage you are on. like others have said the home page of the ezine site is PR6, your article isn't on a PR6 page.

For starters Google hasn't updated PR this year, so any new webpages don't have PR listed yet. You won't know it's PR until Google updates (if it ever does).

Also Ezinearticles uses the format ezinearticles.com/?Top-Home-B..... not the question mark ?

This can throw some PR checkers off, will show the homepage PR since the ? suggests dynamic URL.

    • Perhaps this is the explanation.
  • Which tool are you using to check PR? The article page shows PR N/A for me.

Your first instinct should have been that your PR checker wasn't correct considering the page/link in OP is dated August 13, 2014 which is a new webpage & public PR hasn't been updated for a year.

    Besides all that above...

The majority of article pages on EZA will never be a PR6, even If public PR was updated daily. Be happy If that EZA page ever reaches a PR1, unless your building strong backlinks to the EZA page which wouldn't make any sense.

    • If my first instinct did not indicate something was amiss, i will not have this thread up in the first place. I already indicated in my first post that it was contrary to expectation.
Quit playing the role of a judge, saying the mundane and add some value next time please. Post count is not what really matters.
