I just notice google webmaster tool found 406 errors in my site, does this error will affect my ranking?

    406 error would be from the users web browser not being compatible with the webserver.

    HTTP Error 406 Not acceptable Explained

    Run a compatibility check on major web browsers just to be safe.

    Google cannot crawl what it can't process.

    You are not giving us a whole lot of info to go on.

    Just a hunch, but are you running wordpress?
    (One more nail in the coffin...)

    People like to add so much junk (and I mean JUNK) to wordpress...
    so many settings...
    so many plugins...

    Probably something simple, but you would need someone who
    is qualified to have a look at things you have installed, security
    settings, etc.

    Did you recently install or update something for wordpress?

      Hi Paul,
      No, I did not install or put anything new since May, my site is lovelycaketoppers.com, I use zencart, I just add listings, did not change or do anything else on my site. Google found this errors in Sep.
      should I contact my server to solve this problem?
