I dont think the backlinks will give you any seo value....first check the authority and pr of the sites.

It's good for direct traffic. Won't do much for SEO.

      How about,
It would be good for direct traffic, if anybody could actually find that site, found your link,
      clicked on it...

I'd guess the odds of that actually happening are worse than winning the lottery.

We are talking SEO here. I regularly use craigslist to sell junk with some success.

The majority of classified sites/pages are temporary.

So... even If Google does find a followed link on a classified site/page odds are it wouldn't take long for Google to see the link dropped off & probably even return a 404 on the backlink page which is exactly what Craigslist does for expired ad pages.

Even If the ad page didn't expire it would still be a weak link considering there wouldn't be any IBLs (Inbound Links) pointing directly at the ad page. Link authority has to originate from somewhere.

Brilliant, a PR3 on a new classified ad page.

I've been marketing online for a LONG time. Any traffic is good traffic and will help to increase your bottom line! As marketers you should be trying anything and everything... as long as it is legal.

As long as you are not spamming the classified sites, it's all good. However, you won't gain much from posting links on those sites because they won't pass much link juice to your site. Your link will be on a PR 0 page.

Of course it is good but they must be thematic, means related to your website category.

Classifieds sites won't help at all, instead it will hurt your website...

Ads are mainly for 7-day, one-month, or in some websites it may be for 2 months...

As a strong link is removed it badly impacts your SEO effort.
