Yahoo Answers and Quora for traffic

I have been visiting Yahoo Answers and Quora each morning for the last few weeks. I am being careful in only answering questions when I feel have the knowledge to make worthwhile contributions.

The purpose of this is to get more traffic to my blog. It's a bit too soon to tell if it's worth the effort but I wondered if there are any other Q & A sites that I should be using. Obviously only those that allow links.

Thanks in anticipation.

  • There are many sites that you can search online.
  • Use social media for getting more traffic to your blogs. See that you engage yourself with other communities related to the niche of your blog.
  • Yahoo answers and other questions based websites including forums really help in generating targeting traffic to your website. The process though takes long time and some good results usually appear within a year or so when your profile at Yahoo Answers or at any forum you are using becomes pretty rich.

Tips For Speeding Up The Process:
    1. Hiring someone to do the job for you speeds up the whole process a lot especially if you are hiring more than one employee.
    2. Focus on quality rather than quantity. It is way much better to answer 5 questions in great details than answering 30 questions with just one line of text.
    3. Focus on important topics and questions that might drive traffic to your website. Not all questions gets the same number of clicks or searches. Answering only the good questions helps a lot in many cases.

All the above also applies to forums, blogs comments and QA websites.

SEO-wise, comments and answering questions does not help much. However, internet marketing is not just about SEO, getting direct traffic boosts up your brand in many cases when you are using those marketing techniques properly.

    Good luck with your campaign!
  • Q/A websites have great potential to crack sales for your promoted product in case you have strong profile there. But Google knowledgeable would be main obstacle for promotion on Q/A websites.
