Shopify website last week and ranking pg2

Hello, I am new to the SEO world , I've been selling my art online for years through ebay, facebook, and etsy. I decided to dive into opening my website. Two weeks ago, I am already ranking on some of my keywords, some page 2 some page 5 and 6.
In order to create backlinks to my new art page, I took a few hours and completely gutted my 11 year old Deviant Art blog which is a pr7 page with back links targeting keywords(aproxmently 1,000 links). I also created a pinterest account acquiring approximately 200 followers in 2 weeks and approximately 200 followers on my tumblr account all with back links on all my images shared on these sites, I even took all the links and loaded them into pingfarm. However when I load onto a back link checker non of these backlinks are showing up? I thought pinging them would help index the backlink then giving me more link juice. In your opinion is this a good idea? I was also going to add back links to my ebay listings which are all do follow do you think this is a good idea? and should I ping them?
I'm also exploring the idea of making new pages within my shopify site to target new keywords. So a page that would target Canadian Abstract Artist for example. There would be no link from my main page to it , it would just be for the purposes of capotlizing on a new key word sets. Also should I have its own WWW for these keywords? or should i save the cost and leave it routed in the url.
I want to build a powerful website that attacks as many keywords as possible. I need some direction and to make sure i'm not going down the wrong road.
