Domain out of Niche

Hello,
A friend gave me a good domain that he owned with good moz metrics : PR4, DA20, PA32 and with some good backlinks. I want to begin a PBN as I read everywhere is the only way to rank. The problem is that the domain is 100% out of my niche. Is it good idea to use it as PBN or it is useless because it is 100% out of my niche. And a 2nd question please, can I rank with com domains for local seo or I must have for france gr, germany de, UK co.uk etc ?

Thanks in advance

  • You can still rank for different keywords even if the domain name is in a different niche

Google will mainly focus on your on-page seo, backlinks and etc.

I have many domain names that rank for different niches

    • Thanks for the answer.

I read many posts with different opinions and I want to be sure thats why I asked. I think that the domain is good but all the backlinks that has are from different niche.
  • It would seem like the ideal format would be to have your domain match your niche

However, that is not always true
  • A PBN is not the only way to rank and considered very blackhat with Google. If you don't mind risking your reputation with Google, then stay on that path. Otherwise, clean it up and stay in the rules that Google provides about backlinking. They give very clear guidelines on what is and is not acceptable.
  • There are indeed many ways to rank and PBNs are one of the most powerful methods to help rank your site quicker. Try to find a way to post fully optimised content on your new domain site that is relevant to money sites your are linking to.
Also I don't think you'll have any problems ranking with .coms on local sites
  • Avoid the PBN it will take you too long and its nowhere near as succesfull as once was, just sell all your site and invest in some proper content, keep posting every day, doesnt matter too much about covering a broad area around your niche. Get your onsite up to scratch and focus on your social signals. Also consider optimising for mobiles instead of desktop, theres plenty of traffic there and easier to rank for if you know what your doing
