Free Traffic

Apart from SEO, is there any way that is good to get organic traffic? I'm just trying to get the money back that I,ve spent on IM. So I don't need loads of traffic, I just want to make back about $2000 and then I'm out.

I've been trying the Social Media platforms, Viral Content Buzz, Stumbleupon, Slideshare, YOUTUBE, Classified Ads and I've written about 20 articles with good keywords and posted them to Amazines.

Is there a free way to get traffic to my squeeze page apart from the above mentioned? I have 4 opt-ins? It is ridiculous, I'm not afraid of work, but the things I'm doing isn't working.

Any suggestions will be hugely appreciated.

  • There's not a "quick" way to answer this. The methods your using DO work. I think you're putting to much thought into it. I'd rather master one method, then move onto another.

    Jack of all trades, master at none. I had this issue when I first started.

      Most people think you have to spread content everywhere across all platforms to get fast traffic.. personally, running paid ads is the only way to really get "fast traffic..

      but honestly, if you're going for free traffic, you need to pick one platform and really push for it. get traction and momentum and build a solid flow of visitors using one platform before moving on to the next one
  • You will have to perform those activities regularly which you are performing. Free SEO takes more time to generate traffic.

    You can also try to participate on forums as well. They can also help you to generate web traffic. Taking active part in discussion can be a good source.

    Social media websites can also be used in order to do promotion. You can use Linked, Google+ more for sharing contents.
  • I am not really sure why don't you go with SEO only... Social Media marketing is perfect, but for a REALLY short term... Only SEO can help you get traffic for YEARS!
  • I think you need to spend some more time, well perhaps, into finding effective strategies for the methods you have listed. Like MWatson stated all of these do work, and work quite well for me. Just pursue some strategies and plan your attack out. You'll get there.

    It could be the worst thing if matt is still on leave as we are hit with the pigeon and pirate i just want matt to comeback and give some algorithms to recover from the update of google.
  • I am sorry to hear this, but I just want to make a point...

    I hear loads of people talking about why they do SEO and other so called free traffic generating methods most of the time it's that they want free traffic and don't want to pay for it.

    You say you spent $2000 so far trying to generate this traffic, if you had spent this on paid traffic you could easily have generated 40,000-100,000 visitors to your site.

    I spent years doing the same thing, I now refer to them as the wasted years... I wish I'd have learned to master paid traffic when i started 10 years ago.

    You can use social media work. You can create some web 2.0 sites. Put your keyword, google search engine top page. You can do SEO work...

  • Social media like making videos at youtube is one of the best way to get free traffic ;-)
  • I suggest you to post high quality and unique articles to Linkedin pulse..They allow you to post articles with pictures and backlinks pointed to your SP.

    I have published more than 30 articles to Linkedin and most of them are in top 10 in G SERP with small amout of backlinks pointed to each article.

    In my opinion..Linkedin is much better than article directories, because Linkedin articles actually rank in SERP.
  • I think, there's simply no free lunch on almost everything in business.
  • It's worth noting the end goal and basing this around that. If you simply want to make $2,000, it's worth starting there ... and working backwards to find your methods. In this case, if you want nothing to do with IM, and want to quit anyways ... perhaps you could just make $2,000 a different way instead. If things aren't going well for you now, it may be far less $ / hour in the end than simply doing something else to make $2,000.
