Help- Link Building and Google Slap

Hi Warriors,
I have a couple of sites I am trying to promote and maybe flip after one month to raise enough money for my projects but I have some google and other search engine related questions.

How many links do you think I should add per day? I am scared of being slapped or sandboxed by google obviously.
How long does it take for google to index a link from say a page 5 rank site?

  • Any warrior?
  • You shouldn't be overly concerned unless you're building thousands of links a day on a totally brand new site. Google won't find all you links in one day so a few hundred links per day shouldn't hurt.

    • Then why have your $$$ sites in your sig file?

Whats the relevance to Warrior Forum and Roulette?

  • It depends how old the site is, if very new I guess 10 - 20 is good. But if the site is older maybe even more.

    • Why do you "guess" 10-20 daily?

If its a site in a competitive niche' - thats just climbing a greased pole.

  • If you're not adding thousands of links per day to a brand new site, then I would say in my opinion there's nothing to worry about.

    • +1 on the thousands of links issue.

It's more important to make sure you're getting a variety of link sources and varying up your anchor text to keep things looking natural.

Also, as with any linkbuilding campaign, make sure your on-page SEO is airtight before you start so those links are sending the same message Google already gets when they spider your site.
  • If you're going to flip it, you can/should be a little more aggressive with links. No one can really say what the magic numbers is though. There are to many variables.

If you're building a long term asset however - go for slow, steady, and quality link building. In other words, make it look natural.

You can get away with adding lots of links quickly, but the problem is they need to have quality. Eg. a new site that suddenly gets mass media buzz will get a ton of high + medium authority links very quickly. This is very different than link spamming 1000 social bookmark sites every day.
  • So, what you guys are saying is: I can take down a competitor new site sending 20K links to it per day till he gets deranked or penalized?

    lol, ok.

Here's a fresh one, a couple of days old: http://www.ganhardinheiroclickbank.com/ - It's mine, so be my guest and take it down
