Disavowing links

I am disavowing spammy links to my site, but they keep coming back, more and more each day. It's impossible to fight against.

They are all linking the www.myurl.com/i directory - I have removed that page, a 404 displays. Still seems to be hitting my ranking ...

  • I would do one of these:

    Option 1: Remove that URL from the index using Google's url removal tool in your webmaster tools account.

    Option 2: Install a 301 redirection plugin and redirect the url to any website you don't care about, for example, a domain lying around or the homepage of an authority site like WikiPedia or Google.
