incognite/private browsing regardless of browser?

Hello,

I have a client who cannot grasp the difference between seeing search results in the regular browsing mode and the incognito mode and how the former can be biased due to their browsing history.

Other than activating incognito mode in their browser (eg ctrl+shift+t in Chrome) - which I'm not sure they can handle - is there a simpler solution such as a site which just displays Google results regardless of user preferences and profile? I want to be able to give them that link and ask them to search using it (instead of Google.com) so they can examine their ranking more objectively.

In other words, what is the simpler way to demonstrate what's really going on without asking them to 'log out of their Google profile' or 'to open a private browsing window'?

Thanks

Use a rank tracker like Accuranker like any normal person would?

Then give them reports, like any normal person would?

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!

Thanks icematikx for the fast response and thanks for the tool tip - I use positionly for monitoring everything and providing them with end of month reports. I'm asking though about the checks they want to make themselves on the fly and at arbitrary points in time.

I was hoping I can suggest sth like 'use xxxxxxxxx.com' to check unbiased rankings' although I guess I can set positionly to email them daily a report as the next best thing.

    Thanks for the insight.

They don't need to check rankings daily. That's unhealthy. I had a guy who was checking daily and becoming so obsessed with it that he'd email me daily. In the end, I just told him to stop or get lost.

It's all about expectations. Be clear from the start. This will take XX months to see results.

Yes, perhaps daily was an exaggeration. But they do want to check at arbitrary points in time every now and then - and when they do I don't want them to worry for all the wrong reasons.

        thanks again for your time

Recommend that you turn off google instant (do not be logged in to any G account's such as Gmail) and then use the &pws=0 parameter appended to end of search result string on your browser....
