Hi friends, does web2.0 still work for Seo?

So many people said that web2.0 couldn't provide strong link juice to money site compare with PBN, does it mean web2.0 doesn't work for todays SEO?

Actually it's hard to define what web 2.0 even is nowadays.. if you refer to the main social/blogging/ platforms, of course

It's not so much that web 2's work or don't - if a web 2 has some Page Rank to give you will benefit from the link. The same applies with a PBN.

Also what you're suggesting is not SEO, it's spamming and yes it works to a point and for a while but its not worth it in my opinion.

From my testing data I'm seeing an algorithmic devaluation of links from web 2.0s no matter how good the content......it's all about links.

2.0s are great tier 1 buffers to abuse with mass high DA/PR links to channel link juice though....

High quality content + mass high DA/PA links = high quality web2.0s? Is it?

what do you write...? web 2.0 is a huge piece of all internet websites. We define web 2.0 like websites made in 21 century. Diffrent then websites from first years of existing internet. All websites where content is made by users: forums, blogs, social media. Almost everything without sites where only owner of websites decide about what is written there

    Hi,

Many people are using Web 2.0 properties within their PBN. I personally think that if its built the right way and you add value then anything can provide link juice. I've created a PBN which includes WEB 2.0's and have done very well however followed a link building pattern and content writing structure focused on "quality"

Keep that in mind because if you build properties and do it the right way, you'll be surprised how much value they can keep adding down the road.

Yes, of course they work. The only thing that won't work is extremely sloppy setup web 2.0s, get flagged easily. If you do it 'the right way', I've seen increase in rankings. Mind you, you should mix up PBNs and web 2.0s if your budget allows.... you have to round out your backlinking profile and you never know what can bump up your rankings. So test it!

Can I suggest you go to Google and type this into the search form.

    Web 2.0

Push enter and read what web 2.0 actually means.

Web 2.0 describes World Wide Web sites that use technology beyond the static pages of earlier Web sites. The term was coined in 1999 by Darcy DiNucci and was popularized by Tim O'Reilly at the O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in late 2004.
Yes, in 2014 dynamic webpages still work, why wouldn't they?

Really irritating when an old term is *******ized to mean something else.

    PBN is another one.

    Private Blog Network.

They aren't really private: can try to hide them, but they aren't private.
    They aren't all blogs.
They are part of a network.

One out of three ain't too bad!

Real term is a network of websites used to SEO promote money sites, but Private Blog Network sounds so much cooler.

I like the Web 2.0 Private Blog Networks myself :-)

All BS marketing spiel to persuade the gullible to part with their hard earned moolah.

      Yep..

That's why we need RE-EDUCATION at a massive scale..

And that's why when I talk about something, I always try to "isolate" people about certain definitions of terms to know that we are playing the same language game..

With SEO, this kind of teaching or preaching is rampant (should be!) because everyday it seems a new definition is born.. we should just focus on the purpose and results than asking misleading questions..

What are you lot going on about?

Web 2.0 means dynamic websites, that's it. It's not a new thing, the term has been around for a decade.

Go read the top 10 SERPs about Web 2.0 in Google

    https://www.google.com/search?q=web+...=rcs&q=web+2.0

Explain what any of that has to do with PBN's, SEO or any of the other BS SEO marketing you are all referring to?

I use X-Stance Prorated Vino Basilisks, that's the new TwentyTwenty Vision SEO for 2015, it will power your semantic entities to the next level bypassing the Google Horsedung algo penalty.

Maybe the OP can clarify what they think Web 2.0 is?

Depends how competitive your industry is. But I don't think it's important to chase what works today, instead it's more beneficial to implement strong strategies that will work into the future. To that, the link building practice that's being referred to here, I don't feel will continue to be effective as Google continues to become more strict on link building practices.

They used to work better some time ago . Now they are not effective as before. Anyway it strictly depend on what keywords you are targeting and what you would like to achieve . Personally I find some web 2.0 properties still effective , but those are the ones that can not be spammed to death by any automated tools ! They do work and they need some special " treatment " to be even more effective I will give you a free tip here : look serps for your niche/keyword and look what platform/web 2.0 you see ranking in page1 to page 3 . You can those properties you found in serps to build your web 2.0 network . Personaly I rank some of them first page for some medium competition kwds . Have a look at what is working for your niche/ market and take ACTION

Web 2.0 Backlinks still work. I would personally only use them for my Tier 2 Backlinks.

I would use better sites - of more quality - for my Tier 1 backlinks - which are backlinks to my money site.

    I hope this helps!

I wish you the best of the best!!
