Ahrefs remains the best. I recently learned about a few offline backlink checkers and one of them can even verify whether the backlinks still exist or not. I've forgotten the name of that tool. That aside, in terms of online backlink checkers, Ahrefs is the one you want to spend your money on.

Different sites are giving different reports about backlinks and it is hard to make a choice. I am using google webmaster tools and small seo tools. I have tried many in past and keep on changing the tools for getting good results.

Ahrefs hands down, the others lack significantly compared to them.

Ahrefs is the best for me. Easy to use, pretty accurate gives you all the info you need in a simple way!

I use backlinkwatch tool for checking backlinks. It provide you detailed list of all the backlinks with their page rank, anchor text, outbound links and flag.

Well, the best tool to do that job is Google Webmaster Tool , but you can also try other tools like ahrefs it's also a good choice to move forward if you have some bucks to throw out for getting the idea about the backlinks.

Ahrefs and if you want paid tool than go with seomoz

Obviously the consensus here is ahrefs which I also agree with. Majestic just doesn't hold up against it.

I always use Backlinkwatch.com for checking backlinks.

There are various online tools available for checking backlinks but I mostly use backlinkwatch tool.

Google webmaster is good & ahrefs.com also a good platform to check Back-link

After reading this thread I would like to use ahrefs extensively to compare with my current analyzer: Majestic but I have to say that I don't feel the need, majestic is simply great.
Just the overview is great to check the status of a site.
Trust flow and Citation Flow are accurate mark to asses backlinks qualiy.
The list of links provided is huge and detailed.

I still stick with Majestic but I am open to read why ahrefs is better!

I use Ahrefs and Semrush services. But the best one is Ahrefs.
Also I compared other services and many of them do not see many links.

Ahrefs provides you with the details about anchors, new/lost links and domains, broken links and different diagrams etc.

MajesticSEO and Ahrefs are the best out there. Semrush backlink checker is decent also.
