  • If you have a google and bing webmaster tools account set up, my personal expieriences are that fetch is the best method, i post around 12 post daily on a site of mine, and would do a fetch as...when the post is live, between 2-4 hours later the post is indexed and sitting in google, pinging is not what it use to be and some might say, pinging too much costs ranking altho this is unproven 100%

ive always played it by the book, new post = fetch as

    ive never had a problem

    • Thanks. You can crawl 500 pages in a month.

Choose "Crawl only this URL" not the 2nd option.
  • Thanks for helping I will not ping my wsebsite then.
  • If you are using Wordpress salvetor, the Pingomatic service is installed by default
See Admin> Settings > Writing > Update Services
...so your posts get automatically pinged to the major search engines.

Well, I would say tap over the Fetch option as that would be the best because in this case the page is fetched !
  • I might be wrong but I see that your site is going to be indexed in a couple of days anyway, especially if you're using wordpress which does the work for you.

I've found that even that if you don't ping the content it would be indexed anyway (easier if it
    s more than 500 words).

Don't worry about pinging much just focus on delivering good content!
