    As Mike says, It depends on what kind of work yo want to do.
    1. Backlink profile analysis? I would go with Majestic, it has the biggest database of crawled sites on the internet (after Google, yeah)
    2. Purchase Backlinks? focus on quality networks. Careful with the ones that only uses Pagerank as a quality mark.
    3. Want to check your own page backlinks? Screaming frog is a great tool.
