Hi everyone:

can anyone please share a good list of high PR directories which can bring in quality back links to my company website.

    Directories don't "have page ranks" because they're websites, and websites don't "have page ranks". Pages have page ranks.

    When people talk about the "page ranks of directories", what they really mean is the page rank of the directory's own home page. But that doesn't matter much if your backlink doesn't appear on its own home page, does it?

    Are you asking about article directories, or URL directories, anyway?

      I thought so. Sorry - "article directories" are more my subject (but they're useless for backlinks).

      Others here can advise you better than I can about this, but I don't think URL directory backlinks will be much help. If any help at all.

      Yes, plenty of ways. Good backlinking generally depends (like most stuff in internet marketing) on two main things: quality and relevance. You want mostly backlinks from sites that share subject-matter, vocabulary and keywords with the page to which you're linking.

    You sound like someone from the black hat forums.

    Directories are some of the worst type of backlinks you can think of. It's not a bad idea to want to experiment for yourself and see.

    SEO has really taken a different toll, follow it or keep losing out.

    Directories, excepting DMOZ and some paid high quality directories, are pretty much useless for SEO and can cause penguin penalties. There are much better ways to acquire backlinks, and quality ones.

      Could you give me one of the BEST ways(in your opinion) to rank a site with manual backlinks? And also how to find them. I've been getting thrown around by the tornado of backlinking misinfo and ideas. I just need something to stick to that will work.

      Are these sites overly spammed or are they valuable? Can you rank a site with only sites you can find on there?

      I find the seo tools useful for finding comment blogs, but I wonder how relevant they are for ranking.

    From the last few years, links from directory sites have been diluted by Big G. What's working now is "links from authority sites". Get some high Pr backlinks for your site and you are good to go.
