Where do you put spun articles?

I have been reading a lot about using spun, keyword rich articles to help improve SEO. My question is, will these articles still help SEO even if they are not visible to the public?

Can I make pages of spun content and then not include the pages in any menus or links?

I am just trying to figure out how to use spun articles to improve SEO, but also make sure that none of my visitors or members come across the spun pages.
(I have yet to find a spinner that spins content in a way that reads "naturally".)

  • The right place to place spun articles is recyclebin, if you are planning to use them for SEO. No hard feelings pls, but spun articles are never going to help the cause when you are intent to use them for gaining more traffic or brand value for your site. High quality and fresh content is the prime focus for any search engine especially Google.

  • Alex beat me to the punch. I was about to say recycle bin as well. No professional worth their salt would use spun articles for anything.

  • Don't use them for your website, but use them in other way. If those content are helpful then convert them into a infographic or may be PDF to submit on other sites.

Nope spun articles isn't going to help anyone with anything ! I would say better option for you is to put those spun articles over the trash can and don't bother creating thread over the forum that will it ??? Because it will not !

    • Sorry, you lost me on that part. I tried my best to decipher what you meant, but alas, I failed.

  • You sound like someone from the black hat forums.

Directories are some of the worst type of backlinks you can think of. It's not a bad idea to want to experiment for yourself and see.

SEO has really taken a different toll, follow it or keep losing out.
  • Put them in the folder how to quickly generate a Google penalty and destroy your business just before Christmas.

If you are new to SEO don't start by trying to take shortcuts, it's all been done by others more experienced than you and many of them have been caught out by Google.

First learn whitehat SEO, if you want to take more risks take a long time learning blackhat SEO techniques before using them and never use them on important domains directly: always have a way out, spam links for example send them to an unimportant domain, if it goes wrong drop the domain from your network.

It is so easy to feck up an important domain by using the wrong blackhat techniques!

  • Spun content is normally used to build tier 2 and tier 3 backlinks in a tiered link building setup. However, this is a blackhat strategy and will get your site penalised someday, so don't use it on sites you are planning to maintain for the long-term.

  • Spun content is worth nothing more than trash.

    • If that's true, then that would mean that I could get quality spun content for a great price, no?

I need some manual spinning done for geographical landing pages on my website. I need each page to say the same thing as all the other pages but be unique enough not to be gigged for duplicate content.
  • Thanks for all the answers. I'm glad I didn't get a spinner. How come all the hype around spinners and the expensive monthly subscriptions? What kind of people pay 47$ a month for something that will hurt their website?
  • Where do you put spun articles?

    File 13.
  • Spun articles submissions are blackhat strategy which dump your site...

  • I would never use spun articles or spun blog comments or content in any way.

And, I don't really think anyone would suggest that you do that either.

From a practical point of view, I don't really think your site visitors will ever run into a copy of your content on any other site. That's just over thinking the process.

  • After the recent crack down by Google on "thin" content unoriginal website, I would completely avoid using spun articles. I've done some testing with spun content and have found that many of them fail to create something unique. This means you are left with enormous duplicate content. Before, I would have to go through changing things around so stop using them period. Now I take time out to write content myself. However,

Why not hire someone from Fiverr to write content and then you can add additional content to make it longer. It's efficient and unique.

  • I'd rather rewrite the article than spin it.
It is a big NO! NO!
There are many other ways to market your content in a productive way.
How about create a video out of your original content?
How about create a PPT presentation out if it?
There are actually a lot if you'll just be invest your time looking on other possibilities.

  • It is not good when your articles are spun. This will affect the value of your website in search engines.

Always write fresh and original content.

    Good luck!

  • There is a huge difference between manually spun content (at a minimum of word and sentence level) and auto spun content. Nowadays, I don't even bother with auto spun content at tier 2 or even tier 3 when I'm doing tiered link building. Although, I'm sure there are still some out there having some success.

In fact, I have better results with manually spun content (at least word and sentence level) than I do with that crappy "unique" content written by non-native English speakers. Not to mention the money that is saved.
