Hi,

I am eager to know about the alternative analytics platform other than GA.

A large section of keywords are not provided by Google Analytics. Any suggestion to retrieve the data or please suggest me any alternative

  • Google analytics is the best tool to get all the information about traffic and keywords. But, yes as now Google shows maximum keywords as not provided as not provided it became little difficult to know about keywords. I would like to share two methods which can be helpful for you to get information about traffic generating keywords:

    1. While checking the keywords you can also select the landing page as secondary dimension. It will give you some idea to know about the keyword by seeing the landing page.

    2. Secondly Google webmaster can also help you by showing you search query data. You can check which keywords have good impressions and clicks.

Hope this information will be helpful to you.
  • None of the analytics programs are going to give you that information. It is not a Google Analytics problem. It is Google Search not providing the information. Makes no difference what program you use.

    • Yep. Google stopped providing them and there's no way to get the actual traffic tied to the keyword.

However, you can try to line up your landing pages and Webmaster Tools data as mentioned here, or use a tool like Authority Labs that monitors what searches your pages show up in. I've found this to be the easiest way.

There may be other tools to accomplish similar things, this is just the one I use and found helpful.
  • I think it's 3 years now since google started the "not provided", and non of the analytics tools around can show the keywords.
  • The best way to circumvent the "not provided" restriction is to use Google webmaster tools. The keywords that your site is receiving impressions and clicks for are the keywords searchers are using to find your site. It's similar to what Google Analytics used to provide but not nearly as detailed.
  • There are other option out there, but Google Analytics is King!
There is some great FREE trainings out there on using the tool, there is an especially great training on Mobile App Analytics!
  • Statcounter is great for different website-platforms (even old-school html). But if you are using Wordpress, you will find that there are plugins that track the keywords actually used by people to get to your website..
  • I want to say there is no better alternative of Google analytics. Yes, Google analytic doesn't provide the keywords data. If you want information about your keywords means which keywords is performing well for your website then you can check it in Google webmaster tools under search queries. It will give you your top keywords.
