Do complete video optimization, which includes Title, Description, Keywords. Use your important keyword in the beginning of your title, include that in Description and in keyword.

Promote that video on every possible way like through social media sharing, write some content based on that video, Do social Bookmarking etc..

Try to get as many as possible likes and comments on that video.

In my view to keep the video in the first position means you have to do the SMO for the Video. If you have a website means you can add the video and you can publish your video in the social links. Write a blogs and article regarding your video with small description.

To get best rank in youtube, i think these are most important for it.
1. your title should be popular or people which want to see.
2. Video should be short & informative.
3. Video should be clear
4. when video get more traffic then it will get top ranking

Hello ranzu,

i've made really cool experiences with the following formula - maybe there are some out there call it "out dated", but trust me, it still works...

1. Do Keyword Research
http://keywordtool.io

2. Your Keyword should be the first word of the Video Title and the First one in the description

3. You should also use 1 or 2 LSI Keywords in your description and in your title too

4. Keyword density in the description should be between 1-2%

5. Your video file should be named with the main keyword you want to target

6. A Custom Thumbnail

7. Quality Backlinks (Follow and Do not Follow Mix)

8. High Retention Views / Subscribers / Comments / Likes

That's the formula i use and i always have success with.

A video which contributes most to user engagement will therefore score the highest rank.

Every thing mentioned in this thread = to user engagement ("you need more comments and likes" = user engagement; "you should boost it and share it across the web" = users should be motivated to boost and share your video across the web = user engagement etc. the better your video is the more people will engage with it = higher rank!
