How would you double your adwords traffic ?

Hey all,
I'm currently running a very profitable adwords campaign and spending about $25 /day on it.
(I'm using the CPA option.)

I want to raise my daily spending to $100/day, but I can't seem to get more traffic.
I tried to raise my CPA bid from $.21 (current value) to $.40 (hoping I would get more leads and then lower the bid)..
but the only thing that happened is Google is now charging me twice as much for the SAME amount of leads !

(i used to get 100 optins for 21 bucks, now i get 100 optins for 40 bucks...)

How can I get more traffic ?
I know it's possible - I was spending $150 a day last year on the same campaign.

    Try different keywords as well and test.

    By what you are saying it seems that there simply is no more searches for the keyword you are running your ad for. Over time it will increase I'm sure as you have seen this since last year. I think it's a waiting game on that keyword.

    Different keywords might get you more traffic. But if you want double the traffic, double your ad's click rate.

    Cheer up man. It's not a very difficult term as you are thinking. I hope you know related keyword finding techniques. If not please use SOE Elite or IBP to find related keyword or keyword based phrase.
