Is adding a whole category of types of products to your site worth a press release?

For example an online office store adds furniture and office chairs to their website offering users around the country a way to order, etc...

Is that a kind of thing a release can make sense around or no?

  • Also what if there is multiple types of new products, put into one press release or maybe space them out something like once a month? Also do you think pr.com is a reputable pr site?

  • Press Releases should be towards an announcement or news worthy.
  • SEO wise, press releases are not going to give you a big jump unless you release something that really goes viral. This is not going to be that kind of content, so I wouldn't really worry about spacing it out, but that is up to you.

    I only use Online Press Release Distribution Service - PRWeb for press releases any more.
  • You have to be good at designing a press release as it could well be worth it. For example, if you added new product lines to your database, you may want to issue a release about it.
  • Any time Worthy! i would make it look like :we have Expanded our Business" Kinda thing. I wish i had something like that done to my sites. Unfortunately its too late now and anyways my site is banned from press releases. (Ecigs are banned!!!)
