Google replaced a main page url with a newspost

This is a bit hard to explain but I will give it a shot.
Let´s say I have a site reviewing products for example ,Shavers.
This site has alot of shaver reviews and on the shaver reviews there are news updates tied to these reviews in a sort of related news widget on the right hand side of the site.
So what happened is, a few weeks back the high ranking inner page for the main shaver dissapeared, it looked like it was deindexed, but when typing in site:www.mysite.com/800wordshaver the result given by google is that of two other newsposts ie www.mysite.com/news/shaverupdate.
The update is 300 words or less with alot less backlinks, content and such and is just a newsupdate.
Why has google replaced the url and how can I get the main shaver reviews ranking back?
