Hey guys,

how are you doing? I see that there are some topics about keyword research, I would like to share you how to create a Powerful and Amazing Keyword Research and not a boring one.

Why it is Amazing and Powerful? Because you are not going to select keywords with more benefits, you are going to select keywords based in the "Keyword Opposition to Benefit Score"

1st Benefit

Start with a Brainstorm of keywords, use Ubersuggest to get some ideas or Semrush that will show you the keywords that your competence is using.

After this, you can use Google Keyword Planner to get the Benefits of the Keywords. How can you calculate the Benefit? Search Volume * CPC.

Now you have a Normal Keyword Research, you don't know how difficult is to rank for those Keywords, only the benefits that they will give.

2nd Opposition Score

The opposition score show you how much difficult is rank for a keyword on Google, based in the competence.

You can use Moz(1 month free) to get the Opposition Score. Moz is also a very useful Seo tool.

3th Keyword Opposition to Benefit

When you have the opposition and benefit score, you can finally calculate the real benefit of keyword = Benefit/Opposition.

Sort the keywords based on the KOB column and GUALA! You have the real benefits of the Keywords. Try to select keywords with high Benefit and low opposition score.

Tools: Ubersuggest, Moz, Google Keyword Planner and Semrush

It’s not a keyword with a long-tail. We know Google keeps naming its algorithms after wildlife, understandably so as sometimes the updates get pretty wild, but long-tail keywords have absolutely nothing to do with the animal kingdom—unless, of course, you’re niche centers around a zoo.
tips for find good long tail keywords
    • Use the search box on Google.com
    • Use the free keyword tools that are available
    • Think like a local user.
