  • Yes, if you will submit the same article in more than one website then it will be considered as duplicate. Try to write unique content for each article submission website. After that you can also promote that article through social media channels, you can also create info-graphic for the article and others. This will help in getting maximum benefit.
  • Yes, It will count as spam, but you can reproduce your content in different way like creating the infographic or may be a slide share..
  • Yes, I will also recommend you to post unique content on each article submission websites because it will be considered as spam and duplicate content.
  • uniqueness and quality of any article is matters.
if you wrote content that should have uniqued
  • You can easily report of duplicate content or web spamming How to Complain Against Web Spam to Google
  • try and article spinner and go for it.
Do not try to copy paste the original article.

    • Yes, the content should be unique. same article is creating spaming and dublicate content.
  • No , Once Submit your article to Number websites its not called SPAM , Once again submit the same websites its called SPAM
  • Hello frds....thanks you so much for your suggestions...will keep in mind.
  • Duplicate content is one of those SEO things that many people are confused about. In fact, one of the reasons it's so confusing is because of a video Google put out to try and answer the question. In that video, Greg Grothaus explains what duplicate content is and how Google looks at it. But the confusing part is what he says right near the beginning of the video:

“First and foremost I want to clear up a myth that has been going around called the duplicate content penalty. Generally speaking, people are worried that Google has a penalty for sites that have duplicate content on them.... What we're doing for that specific query we are ommitting the print article. It's not a penalty
  • If the directories have no issues, you could count upon them for internal traffic. But google would not help.
  • Hi,
Even though your content is unique, when you are submitting the same article in different article submission website, it will be considered as duplicate and spam...
It's better to go with different article for each website.
  • grab a pen and paper and re-write it.

I don't think a 'penalty' is applied, but you can get a -40 penalty when they'll knock it back 40/60/70 etc positions in the SERPs.
  • Yes, it will be regarded as spam. You can rewrite the article and post the rewrites under new titles on the other article directories. Either way, the most dominant directory is the only one that will show up on search after the first week anyway. Duplicating it will be a waste of time. I don't recommend spinning it either, unless you go with a good paid spinner.
  • Focus on the quality of the articles. It should be unique to prevent Google penalty. You can rewrite your articles and give unique titles. FYI, Google also consider some free article directories as SPAM so I recommend not submitting your work there. Look for authoritative sites that you can submit your articles.
  • Duplicate content is a spam and Google will notice that through its algorithm. The best thing you can do is create unique articles. You can rewrite your original one and check for plagiarism or duplicate content. Submit to high PR article sites and not for free article directories.

    • Does anyone actually read what they post?

This thread is poster child for nonsense replies.

Spam is not duplicate content, and duplicate content is not
      bad in and of itself.

Every big site uses some sort of duplicate content. It's called
"normal way of doing business and websites."

However, article directories are very low level, and I would write
for your own sites, not someone elses.

I just can't believe the tripe you people write, then stick
"SEO" by your name or in your sigs. Pathetic.

  • Creating the same article on another website is definitely considered as spam.
If you need more advice feel free to talk to me privately.

    • You are exactly the nonsense people I'm talking about.

Post a nonsense reply that has no truth in it, then beg for a click or something.
Anybody foolish enough to take you up on it deserves exactly what they get
      ...nothing worth 2 cents.

      Paul
  • Here's the thing if you want to reproduce the same content without worrying if it will be considered duplicate or spam.
    1. Submit your fresh, high quality, unique content to just one article directory.
    2. Then if applicable make a video presentation, PPT presentation or infographic (if applicable) out of the content you've submitted to an article directory site.
Repeat those steps whenever you make a fresh quality content.
With this you will be able to use the same content but in a different and more creative approach.
  • Websites regularly syndicate or republish content (with permission) from other sites. And, this is not spam. As for whether the content ranks highly or not (on second publication) has more to do with the site the content is published on and not whether or not that content was published there first or second.

Here's an article that discusses the possibility that allowing someone else to republish your content could be detrimental as the second site might actually outrank you for keywords you want due to your own republished article.
I allow authority sites to republish my blog articles, which then outrank me | Moz Q&A
