Changing Domains Redirect Question
- SEO |
The situation is this: I've rebranded my consultancy and am subsequently moving (duplicating) my existing website to a new domain. Preserving SERP rankings is important.
Is the best practice to simple forward the old domain with a 301 redirect in Godaddy (at the registrar level) to the new domain, or should I leave the old site live (on Wordpress) and set up 301 redirects for each page and blog post (approximately 50 total) to the corresponding content on the new site?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
