  • This will not effect on your seo part but you have to maintain the value of keywords which you are used in previous content.

  • You don't have to worry about this. A lot of the content online is just rewritten from other pieces of content online.
  • So the mechanics of this are that..
I want to say the same thing others have said and rank for it. As if the world needs another SEO site.
  • Unique content is relative.

If all you are doing is replacing the odd word it's copyright infringement, if it's writing an article on the same subject using someones content/format as a guide it's unique.

Look at news sites for example, they write about the same subject over and over again, with the same format, and similar, but not the same content.

  • Absolutely! Don't worry about your rewritten content! Focus on quality of content! If you are writing focused and quality content for your users then there is no need to worry about your content!

    • I accept with the other people, but you have to be sure that the quality is good and no difficult to understand the content
  • SEO aside, you might want to read up on the definition of "derivative works", and the potential legal issues you could run into: https://www.legalzoom.com/articles/w...-copyright-law

The owners of those articles you're planning to "re-write a few paragraphs from" might not be too happy about the way you've essentially stolen their content. Just putting someone else's content "in your own words" doesn't make using it okay.

  • Well, this 'plagiarism' is so common, that you can't really tell the original author and who stole from who.
99% of articles out there are rewritten, compiled from more articles or just updated from last year.
Really put focus on value you're providing, so people won't feel like 'I've seen this before' instead make them go like 'this is much more informative than the shitty article I've read on xyz blog.' (even if it was the original source)
  • Even if you order an article from an article writing service, that's what they would do - get information from different sources online and mash them to a unique article. So far as the output is unique, go ahead and rewrite it.
  • Smallseotools.com is the website which is used for checking the content quality it unique or not. if you add content anywhere in to the search engine firstly you can check here.

  • I wouldn't just rewrite it, I would add personal touches and extra information and make it "yours". You don't want to be caught plagiarizing people's content.

    • I'd say that is about right. Moreover, the web is full of derived content. You can't make out which one was original but if you add nothing of your own it does tend to get tedious for the reader.
  • For me, I Never worried about this. I use this tools Check Duplicate Content Online with Free Plagiarism Checker Tool
  • It isn't really a problem at all I do it all the time, I will read 4 or 5 articles most of which has similar content but a little different and re right it in my own words, and depending on the keywords they used you can use them all or some variation of them.
  • Just be sure to be at least 75-80% unique. Sometimes it's hard, but there are always possibilities to do it (Elance or oDesk projects can also help you!).
Just do not try spinning the article! Or if you do it, better rewrite it after that too!
