    1. Use social media such as facebook , Twitter etc to promote your website.
    2. Article submission.
    3. Blog commenting.
    4. RSS feed submission.
    5. Forums posting.

    The fact that it's 2015 doesn't mean that we should do things any different from the way we did in Dec 2014. Guest posts and PBN links are good sources of links for new sites and those are the links I usually start with for new sites.
