Hello guys, so as the title of the topic says "I forget to renew the domain for some days", more specifically 8 days, so I was verifying my domains in google, and for my surprise when I entered "site:mydomain.com", I found just 3 pages indexed in Google with subjects of finance (I bought this domain to use as PBN). So I clicked and the domain was expired, in the same moment I renewed it. This domain have 19 articles, with 800 words in average for each, and what surprised me is that with just some days (maybe 3 or 4 after the domain was expired), the pages was cleared from the google cache. I dont know why this happened, I have some sites that I erased more than 10 days ago and the pages continues to appear in google cache.

This already happened with some of you? Now, my fear is that the pages aren't indexed again...

Its not my case, but I think maybe its true that sometimes deindexed domains may reindex after expired.

Why wouldn't Google remove it from their index. They want to give a good user experience. Keeping an expired domain in their index for too long makes no sense from their point of view. They have no idea if you are going to renew it or not, nor do they care.

I just didnt understand why Google kept just the index of the site in the cache (better to me that the site wasnt deindexed), and that page have the description of months ago (content about the real site)... some description about finance.

I have around 8 domains deinxed, some of them have good seo value, I will try to reindex them after expires...

Perhaps Google has never visited the site since you built it and therefore has not indexed the new content you published on it that's why you are seeing old articles in the index.

It's no big deal, I've done the same, forgot to pay a host/bill. It will bounce back after the site goes live again.

My host took a dive. Deindexed some stuff. Got it all back up ASAP, and
all was well within a couple of days.

My thoughts on this? Not much in concrete, just musings.

Take a site that was authoritative and getting good traffic from google.
If said site goes belly up, does google want to "deindex" as soon as
possible to stop sending people there?

As opposed to some site that nobody cares about, gets zero traffic
      from google?

One of my great sites, as I said, was deindexed due to server issues. I did
not even know about that until traffic dropped. Did some fast digging and
actually had to switch servers. Sure, I panicked. But I put everything back
up 100% as before. Within three days, I was indexed, including getting the
breadcrumbs and site links in SERPs.

However, it did take about one month for traffic to build back up.

I never really had to "notify" google that the site was back up.

I know that was a tad off topic, just thought I would add some more to the
      conversation.

There's usually about a 1 month grace period before the domain is released to the public. At least that's how Namecheap works.
