CTR as the #1 most important factor in ranking?
    You've gotta be kidding me.

Looks like someone trying to take advantage of the recent discussions/experiments on CTR and trying to scam people for a quick buck.

I have not tested it myself, but here's the thing...

If you are on page one or page two of the SERP, I could see it being a factor. If a site is at #12, but getting more clicks than the site at #8, wouldn't Google want to show visitors the site at #12 more then? People seem to like something about it.

From that point of view, I can see where it would make sense.

On the other hand, if you are at #67 and suddenly start getting a lot more clicks, I could see where Google would easily spot that as suspicious activity and possibly punish a site for it.

Yeah the logic makes sense and I've seen a few experiments where it worked short-term.

But #1 ranking factor (as stated in the video)? That seems like a bit of a stretch.

Oh yeah, there is no doubt that is total crap.

I'm sure that the product is just following along the footsteps of the industry of 'Hyping the sh*t out of it', but actually, you can get #1 ranking given that you're on the first page.

The concept of this product rang some bells and I had to do some SERIOUS DIGGING to find this Moz experiment where they went from #7 to #1 in a few hours through the same technique, but it was geographical.
