How To Rank my site on top 10 of Google for a particular keyword ?

This Is My Web Site trifidresearch.com Can anyone pls tell me step by step procedure for it ? I am only looking for ranking a competition keyword (under 2 million). I have heard that its primarily done through link building - like I have to watch the other sites, which are standing there at top 10 for the keyword I am targeting and then gradually try to build more links , both in quality and quantity than them - is that about it or there is more to it ?

    Those keywords you have mentioned are high competitive keywords, you can place that keyword in higher position in Google if you have good quality contents on the website, just do a onpage tactics for the website with targeted keywords and contents. Submit your links in google webmaster tools and wait for 3 months to see actual results.

    First of all you have identify your competition with regard to your targeting keyword, whether it is having tough competition or less competition. Then write articles and blogs with related to targeting keywords and share it on social media platforms like Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, Google plus communities and other bookmarking sites. You will get result very soon.

    You need to have some good content on your website.
    An SEO friendly website with proper use of meta tags, keyword density etc.
    Good link building by off page optimization techniques.
    You need not to pay anything to Google.
    This same work will help your website indexed and gain ranking on other SEs too.

    Create one or more quality articles that have the keyword as a theme, don't go crazy with keyword stuffing, the Penguin filter is now on the look out for SEO Spam, internal anchor text may be more effective than external anchor txt links containing the keyword, which may have to be limited to avoid penalties, internally you can have the keyword in the menu link to the keyword article. Not all back links go to your home page. Your description sounds right, add links at a steady rate, avoid too many paid site wide 'blogroll' links.

    To rank higher in google search first you have to submit site to Google Webmaster tools. visit solvemyhow.com and go to blogger category. Then just concentrate on your content.

    Content is King of any blog. Then publicize it to various social media's like Facebook, G+, Reddit, Stumble Upon, Pinterest, etc.

    Have you ever heard of long-tail keywords? If you want to rank, focus on long tail keywords first like 'stock trading tips'. As your site begins to rank for those long-tail keywords, it will start gaining the authority it needs to rank for keywords with more competition like the ones you listed.
