I read a post about how to recover from google panda recently. From that, i learned to remove Remove unnecessary pages/posts from search engines. If your blog wp-content and wp-admin links are indexed in Google, remove it using url removal tool in google webmaster tool.

So i removed it. But i forgot to add those directories into my Robots.txt file. So those wp admin indexed by google again. Then i added those directories into my Robots.txt file. When i tried to remove wp admin from google using url removal tool, they show this message "this request has already been made.

What will i do to remove those wp admin from google? I tried this removal process twice in a month. Do i have to wait for a month or more than a month to remove wp admin using url removal tool?

Waiting for a solution

  • Honestly, I would not worry about that one page. Tons of websites have indexed that page. Not that it is a great idea, but if your site was hit by Panda, it wasn't because you have the /wp-admin page indexed.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Cancel the url removal by viewing your completed requests (i.e removed urls) and clicking cancel. Then request it again.
  • Google is stingy about removing anything.
They pretty much state that anything takes 90 days.
    Hurry up and wait policy.
    Cheers
  • Add it to your .htaccess
  • If not through it then try it using .htaccess file.It will surely help in better ranking to the website.
  • Just saw this thread again and decided to add to what I have posted above. If you block the pages via your robots.txt file, they will naturally fall off the index over time. So, you have nothin to worry about...and having those pages in the index won't affect your rankings, it will only make your site more vulnerable to hacking.
