How to get more reviews on Yelp?

Hello!

I have some questions about Yelp. I'm doing some SEO for a car rental company in the USA. They have an account on Yelp and they have listed one of their rental locations. Can I list the rest locations (5 more) using the same account or I have to create a separate account for each location?

And do you have any ideas/tips on how to get more reviews? They have many customers, but no one wants to leave a review. We've tried to send follow-up emails asking customers to write a review, there are banners on the website, we also tried to offer a discount for the next rental for the ones that write a review, but it didn't work. We also tried to make some people from the USA sign up and write a review, but all got filtered...

    Asking for reviews is against yelp policies. All they can do is just having a sticker in the shop that says "We are on yelp". They can try asking happy customers to leave reviews in person. It works for me since I build long term relationships with my customers and I follow up with them if they don't leave reviews right away.

    maybe look into what you say to your customers about yelp, and try to make it sound more fun or appealing..

    That would be a tough niche (car rental) for generating reviews, I'm sure most people abuse rental cars.

    It's not like a restaurant niche where people are taking photos & posting to social sites.

    If you get reviews from people who've done nothing on Yelp but give a review to this car rental company, Yelp will not take them into account (they'll hide it).

    Also, Yelp will show ads from the competition, unless your guy buys advertising on Yelp.

    You're better off getting reviews on Google + and other sites and pushing the Yelp page down in SERPS (unless you already have amazing reviews that Yelp is not hiding).

    You said you've asked. Change your approach. Your copy may be causing lack luster results.

    Try changing your offer. Provide a gift card. Provide an amex cash card. Give them cash. Enter them in a drawing for free rentals. Think outside of the box.

    Hold a Yelp elite event (figure out a way!)

    Offer them an in-store incentive to post a review and tell them to send you their names. Give them a discount or something in store.
