Well it's better than doing nothing and it's not the worst place to start. It's a bit old hat but I still see people getting ranked by doing this (though not in terribly competitive niches).

According me not wrong writing article and publish this article to article website throughout optimize anchor text .but you remember that your content is unique and one content publish only one article website. and content be useful for Users not for Google or back-links.

Yes of course, its better to go for article marketing. A curiously written article can generate a lot of views and comments which is good for SEO. Just make sure that you have written something quite interesting. And oh! do not post spun articles.

You can do article submission to get that extra traffic to your site. But, it should not be your only way of driving traffic.

Article submission is really good as Google like content, but one mus not post it on different websites which may give copied content.

It is truly good for improving seo for your website. An entertaining, genuine content will keep the readers occupied and generate more traffic.

I will rather use guest blogging, infographics and blogging techniques on relevant blog sites in-spite of article submission. As article submission is a risky method to drive traffic due to large no of copied content available on those sites.

Article submission is awesome way to get traffic. I have many articles in articles directory such as Articlebase and Ezinearticle. Some article rank 1 in yahoo search in some keyword.

Many of these stupid article directories are just plain garbage. Look at the type of people who's "for" this type of crap and who isn't here telling you it's a good idea.

Many article directories are nofollow, pretty much doing ZIP for your own site. It benefits them more than it benefits you.

Chances are those articles will rank BETTER than your own, meaning someone has to be not only willing to click into your article on THAT site, but manage to also want to click through to a link you put in there (assuming you can put one anywhere other than the author box)...then you have to convert them.

Why would you waste time writing an article that is going to rank better on their site than your own?

Most of these people that are submitting articles at junk directories do so with bad content (why waste time on good content that is going to outrank you) just for the link (that ends up being nofollow anyway).

Based on the number of directory questions you've asked in the last few months, it sounds like you're going to listen to the sig link spammers anyways. In 6 months, you'll still be here asking how to rank because article sites aren't going to do it.

I would "save" those articles and place them in your website, no reason to submit to websites like EzineArticles, as this method is not working now...
