When it comes to selecting expired domains for use within your own link network. what metrics should you be using on the domains past anchor text ratio to determine whether it is worth using for your own link network?

thanks

To me, I usually do not care what the past anchor text ratio was. I'm usually not trying to rank the network site. I'm just trying to pass on PR/linkjuice, and irrelevant links coming into the domain do not hamper a webpage's ability to do so.

I worry if it is close to 100% on anything just because it may have gotten itself penalized by Google, which could hamper its effectiveness.

Look for natural backlinks, make sure it hasn't been dropped more than once (I personally don't buy dropped domains), and consider it's age (3+ years is ideal).
