Hi Warriors,

I am working on a bunch of tourism websites and was wondering if their are any strategies to getting more traffic and exposure through blogs.

There are alot of Niche Blogs out there that I know there is a way to get traffic to our sites.

Any thoughts and suggestions?

You should look into guest posting. Search google and other webmaster forums to find people with sites in your same niche and allow guest posting. Then, write some unique articles/posts for those blogs and include a link back to your site. Not only might this send you some extra traffic, it will help you in the search rankings too!

You could also create blogs on free sites like wordpress.com, blogger, tumblr..etc. and put some unique content on those blogs with links back to your main website.

There are tons of ways you can drive traffic to your blog or site irrespective of the niche.

You need to carefully plan how to want to go about it as well as go all out for it.

Here are some list worth knowing:

SEO
Adword
Forum
Video
Images
Social media

The list is endless.

As fpforum said - gues posting is very good idea. You also need good SEO articles for your blog. Create facebook group and try promoting it, this will bring good amount of traffic. Don't use paid traffic like adwords unless you sell something on your website or build list, because you will waste your money.

How about running a contest? That should generate a lot of traffic and create good exposure even if you don't do it perfectly.

Another good way is doing a simple give away. If you have something to offer, offer them a bribe and have them leave their name/email so you can then email them with updates of your site.

I know it's obvious, just thought i'd mention it

Giveaways always works, but still you can drive traffic to your blogs by promoting on social network sites. I run a travel blog and most of the traffic comes for articles, but not images.

Optimize your blogposts for SEO purposes, write frequently, spread your message on social media with proper tagging - other than this do guest blogging, blog commenting on relevant/niche blogs.

For such a niche, Social Media would be your best bet. For example a picture of something beautiful that can catches people's attention and just insert a link to your website!
