Ezine articles and Backlinks/Bookmarking (Gone from Google...what the....!!)

I submitted a ezine article targeting a certain keyword. The article went live and yesterday i actually had position #2 in Google for that article and keyword.

I was mad because i wanted to surpass the one above me, so i left some backlinks (maybe 5 or 6, nothing excessive) on PR5 PR6 blogs with the link back to the ezine article.

Today i enter the keyword on google and i am totally gone, and the URL of the ezine article is also not anywhere to find in Google.

I remember this once happened to me before for some keyword, i had a good google position and wanted to boost it...so i digged and submitted to propeller....with the result that i vanished from Google...

    It's totally normal for this to happen - nothing to do with the backlinks. You'll probably see the article come back in a day or two.

    Don't worry of it.It is usual behavior from search engine.You may hope to get it on the same position again.

    Just a note - if you submit articles on ezine...the day it is released it sits on their front page with a PR 6...then it is categorized - just a bit of info...

    Yes i had one article targeting a very specific keyword, and it bugged me since another person was above me. So..i guess i prove that a couple backlinks actually boosted my rankings. I will see how long i can keep this, the KW might have potential that i can keep the position longer - i researched it with market samurai and i optimized the title/article for the keyword.
