hi all
curious about something i notice between semrush (and other tools) CPC and google adwords keyword planner suggested bid.
the numbers dont match, and im not sure if they should or why they dont.
if somebody could explain, that would be great.

so heres an example:
"how to grow corn" on semrush shows $2.38 CPC in the live update box but shows $1.74 in the phrase match report box. i dont know why these numbers are different. perhaps one is more jistorical and the live update is last 24 hours or something? i dont know.
'how to grow corn" in adwords keyword planner says $1.78 suggested bid.

does suggested bid = CPC in general?
i can understand that perhaps these various tools might not have the exact same #s, i just want to be sure about what im looking at. i have seen suggested bids that are much different than CPC showing on other tools.

heres another example:
'how to grow rice':
semrush live update - $2.52 CPC
semrush phrase match report - 0.00 CPC
adwords keyword planner - $0.29 suggested bid
here we see a more drastic difference between the phrase match and live update and again the keyword planner and phrase match are fairly similar.

thanks for any insight you can provide on this

Nevertheless, I believe Google's suggested bid is more accurate, although suggested bid and CPC mean the same thing. It used to be CPC before Google updated their keyword tool and renamed it 'suggested bid'.
